You don’t remember….
Can we please talk about this split second moment, you guys. Sometimes i am honestly just blown away by the control Stana has over her facial reactions. The very first time i saw this scene i knew there was no way Beckett had not heard what Castle said to her at the funeral. He asks her if she remembers and for the absolute barest hint of a moment, you see the smile tug at the corner of her mouth and you know that she does - she knows for certain now that Castle loves her. For that split second she allows herself the happiness of the memory. And yet as soon as it appears, it’s gone, because she also remembers who she is, she remembers the chains she carries around her heart and why she cannot open herself up to him. It’s the subtlety of the smile that broke me the most because she realizes the fact of her happiness and yet is unable to give into it.
